Sophie's Operation

Hi there everycat, it's me, Sophie! I'm here this morning to tell you my very bad news. My mom says we're going to the V-E-T today to talk to him about having my "garden removed." I don't know what my garden is, but I think I'm just fine as I am. I don't want to have anything taken away. I'm very scared. I'm afraid it will hurt. Mom says it will hurt for a bit. She promises to take very good care of me...but still I'd prefer to keep my garden in place. Did any of you girls out there have your gardens stolen? Did it hurt? Do you have any advice for getting better sooner? Thanks in advance. I'll tell you when my big day is once my
V- E -T tells me.

You will get such nice love and affection afterwards you won't miss it. I'm not even sure what a garden is but I did get something take out. I forgets what Momma called it.

I had my ladygardenectomy before I even went home with my Mommie! Do not worry, because you do not need those parts anyway.

Purrs for you Sophie.I'm sure you will be fine, but what do I know?
I had the Hoo-ha job done.I don't remember much.It was a long time ago ;)

Sophie - it's one of those parts that you probably won't miss or even know it's gone. The v-e-t has done lots of these and it will be over before you know it. You'll feel better in a couple of days - but milk it kiddo! Extra treats and temptation should be on the menu!

Hi Sophie,
My garden was stolen exactly one week before I met Mosaic Lady for the first time. And then, I never left her!
I have now earned her trust and get to go outside a while during the day, and we have LOTS of very cool gardens here. So I figure it was a total WIN for me! I traded in my little garden, which only got me babies before I was even one, and got my forever home and much better gardens. That don't give me babies.

I hope the same good trade in for you!

Hi Sophie! Caroline doesn't even remember hers, but Olivia says when they take stuff out, don't let them put a kangaroo in.

It will be nothing! Believe me! Anastasia had her garden taken out and she came back from the VET and she jumped around and played with me and wrestled and was TOTALLY fine just 3 hours after her garden was removed! She was probably totally fine in those 3 hours too, only that she had to spend those at the VET's place... If you didn't have the stitches as evidence you wouldn't even have known that she HAD something removed...

Sophie, from what I understand, you will be just fine after your ladygaredenectomy. You will be well treated afterwards. I was fine after my hoohaectomy, and I don't miss my hoohas at all!

It's ok Sophie. I had my ladygardenectomy done the day before my gotcha day, so I was only a 10 week old baby. But i got lots of cuddles and hugs the next day. Don't you worry honey, you will be fine. The vets will give you some medicine to go to sleep, and then you will wake up all cosy on a blankie.

I am sure it is worth a whole lot of temptations!!

Easy Peasy... it will be over before you know it.

Maybe they'll let you have some ice cream or a lick of butter or something for all your trouble?

Oh my yes, both my sister Tipper and I had our "girl operations" when we were very young. It's really not so bad though, and I hardly even remember mine. Oh sure, your tummy might be sore for a few days, but the worst thing is your tummy will be BALD!! Don't be embarrassed about it though 'cause all us girls have been through it.

After a few days of rest, you'll feel just fine! Be sure to ask for extra cuddles and treats.

Your friend
Misty

Sophie, that is a good thing, when girls garden has been removed, they will live longer and healthier. According I know, there are many girls are happier when they garden moved.

Don't worry, you will be ok~! you mommy will take good take for you, I believe~!

Kiss,
Adan

Dearest Tyler, you are my sweetest friend do you know that I admire you:) Your kind visits always cheer me up. I saw the painting Michico made of you and it is stunning! A most handsome mancat indeed! I will send you my addy soon. Oh, it is wonderful of your busy mommy to want to send me 'a spoon full of sugar' to make the medicine go down:)
I came out of the frying pan two times today! Yeah...maybe all the company I have been having has helped get me a little bit better.

Do not worry. I had mine when I was 12 weeks old. I was sore for a few days, but after that I was jumping around and chasing after my brothers. Momma gave me lots of extra love and attention, too. It was awesome! You'll be ok, sweetie. Lots of purrs for you.

Oh Sophie, it's not so bad. I had my ladiegarden out too, last year, and then that afternoon I got to go to my new forever home and I ran around everywhere and 'splored everything and met my brother Jack and Whisper the grumpy cat who had to go to the Bridge last month, and I was fine. Well except there were threads coming out of my belly and my belly furs were all gone, and the threads itched and I had to put the bitey on them, and they made a big lump on my belly where they itched, but Dr Tara said that was ok, once she took out the threads I didn't pull out myself she said it would go away and it did!

And my furs grew back too! So don't worry too much!

~Persephone

Hey Tyler great to meet you! And Cookie, Kali, Sophie and Jake! Tyler we have so much in common! Big Man-cat House panthers that kittens just can't seem to get enough of! I can't believe we never met before! I hope you all can make it to my party on Saturday!

~Jack

PS. Thanks for coming and leaving us a nice message when our housemate Whisper had to go to the Bridge. We don't think he was actually in too much pain. He didn't seem to mind being touched, even under the chin where the cancer turned out to be. I think he was just kind of hungry the last few days when he couldn't eat much anymore, and he missed his Temptations.

Oh, dear, this is Thursday. It's all over by now. I do hope you're recovering nicely. Sorry you had to loose your garden. I was six months old.

I do hope you're recuperating well. It's a good thing to have done because you wouldn't want to keep having kittens (well, I would, but then I'm a bean and I love kittens of all ages!) :) xxx

Sophie dear, we're sorry this is so late, but we're just catching up with everyone.

You probably already had your "operation", but we wanted to tell you there's nothing to worry about. We both had ours and were playing the next day. Your tummy will be bald and have some sewing marks on it, but after a day or so you'll forget all about it.

How are you! It has been awhile. How are you feeling Sophie? All better by now I hope. I had a hoohaectomy ("snip snip") and it was sore for a bit, but I got all better and got spoiled for a long time.
