Good-bye Anastasia.

Good-bye, Oscar, I'm sorry I never met you.

Good-bye Ubee. You weren't around long enough for me to get to know well, but still we will miss you.

Good-bye Bendan. Again, I didn't know you, but I wish I had. Until we do meet, be happy over there.

This has been a challenging month on our Faith. It is us that miss you. We will live our lives to their fullest and then we'll meet you at the Bridge.

Easy Like a Saturday Morning

"Mom's gone off to work again, but she let me in charge of the blog," said Jake. "Thank you for your advice for Kay the cat. Mom is going to try to talk to her mom today.

Mom told me she hopes to blog more once her classroom is up and running. While mom's at work, the rest of us have picked our favorite resting spots and we're going to snooze all day long. Maybe your plans are similar?

Have yourselves a wonderful relaxing weekend. Thank you for being loving friends,

Night,
Jake and my sisiters and brother Kali, Cookie, Sophie and Tyler

Can you offer any ideas or suggestions?

I just met a new neighbor who was out on her front lawn wth her brown tabby named Kay. She told me the saddest story. A month ago her cat became paralyzed. She can't use her back legs. She showed me how she can only try to pull her body along with it's front paws and claws. She really couldn't move at all.

The vet was no help. He said she may spontaneously heal. My neighbor doesn't know if she should put her down or not. She said that she doesn't appear to be depressed. Then she told me that Kay is a member of her family.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening before? Know of any resources like maybe a cart or have any advice at all?
Where can I find a prayer list so that I may add Kay's name to it.

I started crying when I saw how disabled the sweetie is. Any help at all would bring much comfort to her mom and dad.

Thanks,
Tyler's mom, Lynn

Catnip Meme

I were tagged for the Catnip Meme by two wonderfully sweet friends Mao Mao and Miss Peach. So here we go:
Here are the rules for the meme:

List 5 things you do whenever you're on the nip, and don't forget to tag some friends!

1. I eat as much of the nip as I can.

2. My eyes get big and "crazy."

3. I become extremely sensitive to my other brothers and sisters touch. If one of them comes near me, I complain with a shrill "meow."

4. I then start to get crazed and roll around covering every inch of my fur with the glorious weed.

5. Next I put the bitey on anything I can, even my mom, if she tries to pet me.

So that's it. Although I do love the nip, my mom becomes concerned about my violent reaction to the stuff.

I tag my friends, Annie from Mosaic Cats, Anastasia and Karl from the Cat Realm.

Can you see my tosies?

Somebeany attempted to interrupt my bath time to take pictures of my toes. She said that she wanted to profile my paws for Tuesday Toes. That means I get to be on my favorite big brother's blog for the day. I LOVE my brother Tyler with all my kittyheart and kittysoul. To be featured on his blog where who knows how many people can see me, well let's just say I'm honored. Maybe it'll be the beginning of a modeling career. I don't want to wear fashions like some other cats enjoy. I just want to show off my luscious multicolored soft as a purr pad fur. My mom brushes my long beautiful hair daily. Well, enough of that. I have washing to do before I can build my perfect portfolio. I hope all of you are enjoying your Tuesday staying on the top of your toes.
Kisses,
Sophie

Nose Triplets

I'm so thrilled that Mr. Hendrix did the job for me of finding me as his nose twin! Not only that but he showed me on his blog that we have another twin which I guess makes us triplets. And that is William the Mass Distructor.

This is Mr. Hendrix.

This is William.

This is me.

Lazy Summer Days

Cookie: Mom, when you go back to hunting next week, will I still be able to sleep on your tummy for our naps.

Mom: No Cookie, our days are numbered. But we can nap on the weekends.

Cookie: Nooooooooooooo, I don't want you to leave me.

Mom: You could always snuggle up for a nap with a brother or sister cat?

Cookie: Hmph, I don't think so.

My Guilty Pleasure

What is it that I'm doing? Just my favorite thing in the whole wide world. Ahhhhhhhh yummmmmmm, there is nothing finer than soft thin chewy plastic. This is the bubble kind. I don't care about the bubbles. What's special about this plastic is how thin and chewable it is. The thinner it is the sooner I can bite off a piece. But you think that I was left alone to dine on my hard-earned perfect piece of plastic? No, as soon as my mom finished taking this picture, she grabbed my wonderful piece of tasty plastic and ate it herself. Of course she waited until I wasn't watching. I can't find it anywhere. She just isn't the type to deny herself delicous tidbits, even if they belong to somecat else first! Arrrrrrgh.

The One Who Came Before

My momma's all sad now. This picture isn't of Jake, though he looks just like him. This is Sundance and he's passed over to the Rainbow Bridge. His story is at http://whatdidyoueat.typepad.com/what_did_you_eat/. After reading Sundance's story and then Tara's blog here http://taraprincessmeezer.blogspot.com/ she's sad for the loss these families experienced and that reminds her of the one that came before me. Her name was Katie. Mom just tried to use the scanner on the printer for the first time with no luck. Tired of struggling with it, she decided to write without the precious picture of Katiekins. This is her story:

Many many years ago when Kali was my only cat, I found the kitten who would be Katie while taking out the trash from my apartment. Looking down I found this half dead little baby kitten. She was the color of dirt, covered with fleas, ear mites, ants and mucous covered her eyes and ran from her nose. Overcome with a feeling of dread, I picked her up. My problem was that I was only allowed the one cat on my pet lease and yet I'd been given a responsibility to help this precious living thing out.

Later that afternoon at the vet's I started to object when the vet refereed to me as mommy. Deciding to keep my mouth shut, I knew I resolved not to get attached to this small specimen of a Russian Blue kitten. My plan was to raise her until she was healthy enough to find a home. She was negative for both FeLV/FIV and the ailments went away with loving care. Not able to find her a home, I finally drove her to San Francisco one and a half hours away because they agreed to take her into the no-kill shelter. Giving her up was giving up a family member, because of course I'd become attached to the little girl. The next morning when she wasn't there to greet me and follow me around the house, I lost it. I called up the apartment management office and asked if there wasn't a way that I could have two cats on my lease. I had decided to move if they wouldn't let me keep her. Loving Katie was more important than packing up an apartment and moving. The manager's assistant gave me good news. There wasn't a limit of animals I could have on my pet lease. Since I already had a pet deposit on file, then I was allowed a second cat.

What had I done to Katie? I hung up the phone and called the shelter. No, she hadn't been adopted out yet. And no, they couldn't put a hold on her until I could get there. Jumping in my car, I flew up there to the shelter. When I found my baby in her cage she was acting like a wild animal. She was so pissed off that she wouldn't stop howling. As I reached for her, a volunteer warned me "Watch out for that one, she bites." Sensing my presence she snuggled into my side.

The poor thing took a day to get back into our old routines. My heart dissolved at the sight of her. She was a special one. I used to tell her how much I loved her every day. I knew that she wouldn't be with me for long. I'd thank her for joining me life and I would tell her that I understood that she was a temporary gift. Three years later she was sick. I took her to the hospital at 1 am. It was her kidneys. The next day at my vet's I was holding her while he injected her with the lethal dose of sleep medicine. Her suffering was over. That same afternoon, I went to the local SPCA and picked out Tyler.

Purrs for BabyBean

I know that I'm late placing this beautiful graphic that Skeezix made onto my blog. We're hoping that everytime somecat or bean sees it they send up a new purrayer for the Babybean and her family. Everyfurrbody and bean at our house is praying that BB will heal tremendously quickly and that all those that love her will be given more than enough strength to be there for her.

Momma, can't help me blog much this week. She's taking a class that's an hour commute both ways. It's not even a fun class about cats are something like that. It's about first grade beans and reading, blaah!

I can't wait to get on here. Oh, and guess what!! Mommy bought us Photoshop Elements. I don't know what to do with it yet, but I read on The Crew's blog that it's a great piece of software. NIght everyone.

Monty, again we send special purrarys up for your beans.
Mua,
Tyler

My New Friends (I hope)

I accepted Karl's challenge (http://idareyouall.blogspot.com/) to meet new friends of a different species. You can check out the chalenge at the above URL, I'm sorry I don't know how to do links. Here are Pixel and Pika. Isn't that ironic about them pretending to be afraid of little ol' kitties?

I still haven't heard from them, but I am crossing my claws that they are willing to give me a try. I'm not your typical mousie-eating rodent hater. I used to have some brother and sister rats. They were a lot bigger than Pixel and Pika, cuz these two are babies. I admit that because of their very cute size, my mouth is watering just a tiny itszy bitzy bit.

A Package

"Moma, watcha got there?"
"Sophie, it's a package from the Siamese Rescue Organization. It's the place where Kaze, Latte and Chase buy their great presents for the other cats on the blogosphere. "
"Hey, everybody mom's got PRESENTS, YIPEE YIPEE YIPES!"

Cookie desides to take over as official snoop.

"My turn...hmm, ok, wow, pretty cool. Listen guys, nobody get anything until it's cleared through me."

"I found my toy!"

Kittens rush in and Jake grabs a fur ball. "Woo, dis is MINE."

"Hey, I smell something intoxicating, ahhhh.!"

"Anything for me?"

"I know you like tails, you can have this big wool mice,"said Tyler.
"SWEET!" said Cookie.

"Thanks Mom." "Yeah, thanks momma," said the rest.
"Your welcome Sweeties. Let's see if Kali would like a mouse, ok? "
"A small one, ok Mom?" answers Jake.
"Oh,Jake..."

Widebody Wednesday

Cookie: Me? Is that me you've got there? Hey, that's not fair. My horizontal stripes give the illusion of me being more 'robust' than normal. Plus the angle is unflattering. And that's before my tummy furs grew back! Take that picture off, now!
Mom: Sorry Sweety, it's the thing I have for today. You should be grateful that I couldn't rotate it for a better view.
Cookie: Hmph! Don't say I didn't warn you. Remember what I did to your bathroom rug when you brought the second brat home? Well, guess where I'm headed now.
