Water, Water

Jake took a swim in Mom's dirty bath water this morning. She was in the outer portion of the bathroom when she heard a ker-plunk and then she saw this orange figure zoom by her. She took a look and found Jake trying to dry himself with his tongue. She offered to towel him dry, but he wouldn't allow her near him. He kept giving her wounded looks as if she had purposefully tricked him into jumping into a draining tub. She had to go into work today, but he was there to greet her when she got home. His furs had dried out by then. Silly, silly brother. I don't go near the tub. He of course plays hockey in there with his pom poms.

We had a scary thing happen at our house. the hose to the hot water on the washing machine burst open. Mom was standing right there when it happened. She feels extremely lucky to have avoided a flood.  She's hoping she can change the hose all by herself without asking my uncle or a plumber for help. It's times like this that she wishes she lived in an apartment.

Good luck to your Mom fixing the hose, we are sure she can do it. Moms are very resourceful when they have to be.

Scylla & Charybdis have almost fallen in the tub a time or two. ~Socks

Cats never do anything accidentally. I am sure your person had SOMETHING to do with his dunking...

Changing a hose can be very easy or very difficult. It depends on the fittings, I think. I am sure that your Mom can do it. Jake probably just didn't look before he leaped.

Oh wow, your mom is very lucky she was right there when it happened or else you probably would have a bad flood! I'll bet she can fix it all up.

Mommy had to change ours about a year ago. She went ahead and replaced both hoses while she was at it. It's worth it to get the better ones (ours had a guarantee on it). She used slip joint pliers and a rag to protect the fittings and it was pretty easy. (Make sure you get it good and tight so it won't leak.) Good luck!

Ooh, and don't forget the bucket for any extra water that's still in the hose.

I dont mind water much. A couple of times, Ive joined TBT in his shower. Not down in the bottom, but inna corner on the side. Its not so bad an I even like light rain outside!

Falling in the bathtub must have been a bit scarey for Jake. We don't like going swimming. The thought gives us shudders.

We are glad that your mom was there when the washing machine hose broke. We hope she gets it fixed soon.

I like to watch the shower water but I never go near it enough to get wet! I have every confidence that your Mom can fix that silly hose!

You sure are having water incidents there. We hope your mom can fix the hose without any problem. And as for Jake, next time he'll probably check to see if there is any water in the tub. Hopefully.

Yikes about that hose - good luck to your mom with fixing it!

Once, at a hotel, Silky jumped into the bathtub when Mom had just filled it up. She *swam from one side to the other and flew out screaming.
